Steps to adopt:

1. Fill out an application. You can apply for a specific dog, or keep an "open" application for when we have a Sammy that would be a good fit for you.

2. We will be in touch to confirm we received your application. 

3. If your application is selected we will set up a phone interview. 

4. If you're a good match for one of our dogs we move onto the home visit.

5. Lastly, we will call your references.  

6. Meet and greet. Adoption to follow. We do not host meet and greets prior to an application being approved for two reasons - 1. We want to ensure the applicant's lifestyle and home is the right fit for the dog being adopted prior to meeting them. 2. Because our foster parents are spread out and volunteer their time. This can save time and potentially hurt feelings if we decide to go with a different applicant. 

 

Puppy (under 1 year) $825

Adult (over 1 year) $625

Senior (8 years and older) $425

On average, the cost of vetting for each dog is approximately $500. In most cases, our adoption fee covers these essential expenses. Should you wish to contribute beyond the fee, your generosity will go directly toward helping more Samoyeds receive the care they need.
